Weekly memory verse: “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
This is especially good for me to reflect on this week because I am dealing with my ever popular frustration and yelling issues. If I could give myself a teeny, tiny pat on the back, I have actually been doing pretty good at keeping things cool around here. But this marks the 4th week of Jeremy working LONG hours and I have not had a break, with the exception of about an hour with my sister at a bookstore about 3 weeks ago. I have a sitter scheduled next Wednesday, but seriously, my kids could be dead by then.
No, no, no. Just kidding. But they are driving me insanely crazy and I’m sure they have had just about enough of me too! Regardless, I am committed to my “scream-free-ness” and will vow to remember not to let any unwholesome words come out of my mouth, but instead to build my children up to benefit, rather than harm, their little hearts and minds.

to this day, i find standing in a hot shower and letting the ugly words and thoughts take a good hot scrubby really works well. and it helps then your only child showers you (no pun intended) with good smelling showers gels and scrubbing cloths. you can rant, rave, bubble and scrub and then at the end, say your thank you prayers for all you have been blessed with, even if it is driving you to wash out your mouth. i find smelling like a rosemary pine tree especially refreshing! hang in there. and i know your mom….send the kids to her, right granny simons?!
Right!
