Sorry there’s been no posting going on for a few days. I have lots going on around here all the way through this coming weekend. This past week Savannah was on winter break and I had promised her we would try to get together with friends on Friday for Chuck E. Cheese. But before heading over there for games and greesy pizza, we had an appointment with a counselor at a prospective school for next year. That went well and while she was doing some additional testing, I took Emery for a haircut. I wish I would have had my camera for that. For some reason he looked like such a big boy in the chair this time. And the stylist put a little molding gel in his hair which was so cute!
Then we were off to the Chucksters for what seemed like at least 12 hours of screaming kids hyped up on Cokes and over priced plastic prizes. I must make a mental note to avoid those kinds of places when schools are closed. That seems to be the hot spot for day cares across the county who have taken in extra kids for the break.
The kids came home and crashed yesterday afternoon and I did some accounting work for Jeremy. Then my sister came over after work since hubby was out of town overnight for a hunting trip. We ended up meeting Jeremy and the guys for dinner at the lodge which was unexpected but nice all the same. The kids had never been there before and they loved seeing all the stuffed animals everywhere. Deer heads, turkeys, a bobcat, and Emery’s favorite, a coyote with a bird in it’s mouth! It was quite a night.
We got home really late (for the kids bedtime anyways) and I was hoping they would sleep in this morning. No such luck. It sort of worked out though because we had a birthday party to attend this afternoon at 2 and I still didn’t know how I was going to work in an early nap so my little guy would be bearable during the celebration. With going to bed so late and getting up an hour earlier than normal, he was more than ready to go down by 11:00.
The party was fun (Happy Birthday Maylon, you sweet thing!) and Daddy was home by the time we got back. We watched a movie then I headed down stairs to finish pricing some clothes for a consignment sale I am working tomorrow.
That about covers the weekend. It’s been busy, but not crazy. This week will be a lot of the same so you may not hear much from me. There are 2 doctor appointments, 2 bible studies, 1 ballet class, 3 days of preschool, 1 house closing, and THEN….my all time favorite weekend of the year begins on FRIDAY!!!!! The first weekend in March is an all girls scrapbook retreat that I go to every year. It’s going to be awesome, but at some point during this week I have to get in the basement and pack up all my pictures and albums and papers and stickers and tape runners and…the list goes on and on! But it’s SO worth every second!
Anyways, nothing to exciting to read tonight. Just letting you know that if I seem to have disappeared, I’ll be back soon. I promise!
