Fruit Inspection

I remember a trip my whole family took to Red Top Mountain in the fall of 2004. Savannah was almost 2 years old. I was about 6 or 8 weeks pregnant with Emery, and sick as a dog. (I’d post a picture, but just looking at it makes me nauseous!) Even more than not feeling good physically, I didn’t feel like I had been a good mom emotionally to Savannah the weeks prior to our trip.

Anyone who has expereinced morning sickness knows you are just drained. I hadn’t been playing with her and there were many times that I was short tempered. In a nutshell: I felt crappy and I acted crappy and that made me feel crappy all over again! It was a vicious cycle!

Anyways, we get to the cabin and start checking out the surroundings. Savannah, who is just starting to put sentences together, comes across a HUGE boulder and exclaims loudly, “MOMMY ROCKS!!!!”

It made my entire weekend! :)
