I was planning my menu late last night and realized something. This is a short week for me. And considering that Jeremy has cooked the last 2 dinners, I am in pretty good shape! Tonight we will have tacos, Wednesday is a church night so I’ll fix sandwiches, and Thursday I want to try the Crockpot Chicken recipe from a couple weeks ago.
Friday and Saturday I will be at the Women of Faith conference in Atlanta. I am so excited! Beth Moore will be speaking all day Friday. Oh yes she is! Six hours of Beth Moore!!! I’m just not sure how I will be able to absorb all that. I’ve been praying for extra absorption in my brain matter!!! And I’ll be bringing a large notepad and extra pens, just in case.
So that’s it, my short week. The week before preschool starts. Just saying “short week” makes me feel like I have lots to do today. Or maybe that’s the huge mess that has been creeping it’s way up from the basement playroom into my living room all weekend. The same mess that Savannah is supoosed to be cleaning up right now but instead just informed me that she is sleepy and needs to take a little nap first.
I was laid up in bed Sunday with cramps and my house got totally out of control. Dishes, toys, clothes (clean and dirty), food, trash, you name it. Everywhere. Then we spent yesterday with my sister. Out of sight, out of mind was my cry! But alas, no one mysteriously came in during the night to pick up the place, so I am avoiding it again today.
Why is it that when things seem overwhelming it feels better to just ignore it? Sitting in front of my bright computer screen I cannot see the tea party set up in front of the TV, or the books lying all over the couch cushions, or even the mix matched shoes scattered around the floor. But I still know they are there. Can you hear them taunting me???
So I’m off now to make a list. Between now and Thursday night I must:
1. pay bills
2. call agent regarding contractWaiting for call back at this point
3. call CPA(emailed him-Done!)
4. fax CPA(Done!)
5. get terminte letter for closing(not necessary per contract-Done!)
6. pack some boxes (5 done so far…)
7. run on treadmill 3 times(once so far…)
8. go to bank
9. take Savannah to friends house on Thursday(cancelled for sanity’s sake)
10. review office bank statements (7 of them)
11. take said statments to the office
12. pack Emery’s bag for babysitter on Friday
13. pack Savannah’s overnight bag for her babysitter on Friday
14. get kids’ immunization records for preschool open house on Thursday night(ready for p/u Thursday a.m.)
15. catch up on laundry (5 down and 3 to go…)
16. pick up the house (main level so far…)
17. maybe clean a bathroom (or 3)
18. vaccum
19. pack my own overnight bags
20. And try not to neglect the children while doing items 1-19. (So far they’ve been pretty neglected except every once in a while when I have to stop what I’m doing to yell at them that they better get along so I can keep ignoring them. I am wondering at this point if the weekend trip will be worth all this!)
No problem. Ought to be a fun week. Wanna trade???

Best of luck with that list. ;-) And have a great time at Women of Faith!
no way!
Oh, I’m so jealous that you are going to the Women of Faith conference! I love them all!!! Have fun!
Ha ha! Praying you get it all done. With God all things are possible. We have a group from our church going to that WOF too! Too bad I was not going or I would try to meet you face to face! I bet it will be fun! The only reason I am not going is cuz I am going on a cruise Sunday! :)
Blessings,
Angela
I am so jealous—-and that’s all I’m saying.
