Fruit Inspection

This week I was tagged by Angela to list the 10 top ten things that make me smile. I thought it might be appropriate to attach this meme to my Thankful Thursday list. After writing about the hardship we suffered last week I am happy to report that the feelings of dispair have been replaced by hope and it was quite easy to come up with a list of 10 things that have made me smile just this week alone.

1. The gentle way the Lord wakes me every morning at the same time to spend time with Him. Even when I’ve stayed up late to watch Leno…2 nights in a row!!!

2. The way Savannah reads to Emery, pretending she is his teacher.

3. Starbucks grande low fat white chocolate mocha with no whip…Mmmmm!

4. Singing loudly with the volume turned WAY UP (even I don’t like to hear myself sing!) to my Casting Crowns CD one morning when I had the truck all to myself.

5. The sound of an excited “MOMMY!” when I pull up in the carpool line to pick up the kids.

6. Reading this on my friend Amy’s blog. I’m still laughing!

7. The book “With this Ring I am Confused”. (more to come on this gem)

8. My kids laughing hysterically at the sounds their body can make.

9. The hint (ever so slight here in Georgia) of fall in the morning air.

10. And lastly, my husband always makes me smile. Whether by being his goofy self or by sitting down to read the Word with all of us, he too is quite a gem!
