This morning the kids and I were coming home from a never ending most enjoyable trip to Target in which the children took their birthday/Christmas money and got to pick whatever they wanted from the toy section. The shopping experience went something like this:
Down the first aisle…”I want this, no this, OH COOL, look at THIS!!! Yep this is exactly what I need!!!”
Okay, they got it and I turn to leave going down aisle #2…”OH WAIT MOMMY!!! Look at THIS! How much is it? Can I get this too???”
“No, you don’t have enough money. You have to make a choice.”
“Oh, then I WANT THIS instead. I’m going to put the other one back.”
Then from aisle #1 where the toy was being returned…”MOMMY, YOU’VE GOT TO SEE THIS ONE! I JUST LOVE IT!!!!”
It went on and on just like that. I’m not sure how many days we were in that Target store, but finally I just announced that whatever toy they were holding at that minute was what they were going home with. Period.
They were happy to have new toys. I was happy to be leaving.
On the way home we stopped at a traffic light in a very busy part of town. I was thinking about what I wanted to do this afternoon when movement in the back of the Toyota minivan directly in front of me caught my attention.
Must be a dog, I thought. The back window was very dirty and it was hard to see at first, but what else could it be? Although, it was rather large. And appreared to have horns.
By this time I am thinking out loud. “What in the world? I don’t think that’s a dog. Is that a goat??? No, it can’t be a goat!”
Then Savannah joins in. “Where is a goat?”
“In the van in front of us. Can you see it?” I am laughing now. “Oh my Gosh! That man has a GOAT in his car!!!! What could be funnier than seeing a GOAT riding in a CAR???”
Savannah says, “He could be driving.”

I laughed out loud on that one! Priceless!
Too funny! Only in the town of L where everybody’s somebody:)
Too funny. She’s exactly right!
I think the man with the goat must have been through our part of the world. I must admit, it is a rather odd thing…I’m glad I’m not the only one who has had such a “close encounter!
HA!! Are you sure that wasn’t Jay and one of Gina’s pet goats? They are getting a petting zoo so you never know.
Now THAT would be funny for sure. WOW! She has some quick wit!
