Okay, so teaching my kids how to read and write can be right up there with potty training in the frustration category. And sure, on more than one occasion I may or may not have threatened to call the local public school to let them know the bus needs to make an additional stop in the morning. But on the other hand, sometimes it’s so stinkin’ cute!
Here are some words that I’ve seen Savannah writing lately:
gramu (Grandma)
nanu (Nana)
pert (parrot)
podl (poodle)
wotr (water)
clost (closed)
bune (bunny)
Of Course!!! Doesn’t it make perfect sense? That is, in fact, just how they sound! :)

Hang in there. Kami is in 4th grade and still can’t spell without help, but Bryson won the spelling bee! You just never know what your going to get!!
Oh I am with you…Isaiah is in the 1st grade and we have spelling tests each Friday. Now he asks how to spell everything! Wait until you get to words like pray (or prey), pear (or pare or pair). Man, that gets confusing! :)
