It’s been a really long, cold winter here in Georgia. I, for one am over it. And probably so is everybody else who has seen me alternating the only 3 sweaters that I own for the last 2 months.
This past weekend though, we got a taste of spring. And after church on Sunday, I called my mom to see if she’d like to go with me and the kids to our favorite local State Park.
There are plenty of hiking trails at Hard Labor Creek.
But their favorite place to play is on this ennormous rock.
Even Nanny climbed up there for a quick snap shot!
Finally, we headed to the playground where they wore a hole in this slide.
And now today, as I’m writing this, there are snow flurries outside my kitchen window. I feel like sitting down and crying a tear into my old coffee cup. But first, I guess I need to go wash that worn out sweater.

We are having very weird weather down here in SW Florida as well! It has been in the 80’s for the past couple of days and now it is supposed to be in the sixties for the next few days through the weekend!
I know that’s nothing like you guys, but weird for us nonetheless.
Hoping for Spring soon right along with you!
At one point today, the outside temp, according to the minivan, was 9 degrees. We were robbed of part of fall this year, too, considering our first official snowfall was on Ava’s birthday (Oct 10th!) So, yes, I know what you mean about being ready for spring!
Cute pictures. How do you keep the bottom of their shoes clean?!
