We had a fabulous Easter yesterday. Church was great…as it always is…then we had family over for dinner. I really enjoyed cooking for everyone again. It’s been over a year since I’ve been able to have people over and show some good ole’ southern hospitality.
I brined a turkey on Saturday and Jeremy cooked it in the fryer. We also made twice baked potatoes, corn casserole, mandarin orange salad, and fresh strawberry pie. My mom brought lemon cheese bars and a fruit salad, and Jeremy’s mom brought the green beans, dressing, and her famous “purple stuff”.
We all ate too much and stayed up talking too late. And can I just say…it felt so good to be so normal.
