Look at that face! Cute and mischievous. A deadly combination for any mother. Add his father’s charm to the equation and you’ll know why I have such a hard time keeping this little guy on the straight and narrow. And with that in mind, let’s change the topic from “Keeping him in line” to “In line skates”. (Ya see how I did that there? Keeping him “in line”… to “in line” skates? Did ya like that? Lots of talent here folks. Lots of talent.)
For Christmas, my parents gave him these new skates. He runs, he climbs, he jumps, he falls… then over and over again. When the neighbor kids want to play, he wears his skates. When he joins me on a walk, he wears his skates. If he goes to check the mailbox…. you guessed it… he wears his skates. He even skated through the house a few times, but then his Daddy put a stop to that.
Given that Emery would be perfectly happy sitting in the house all day playing video games, I am so thrilled that he has taken to these skates the way he has. Move over Mario Kart!!! Outa the way Wii Sports!!! Take a hike Frizzle Fraz!!! Y’all need to get back “in line”… there’s a new game in town.
