I got tagged by Terri for the desk challenge and feel that my desks may be a disappointment. Due to my intense hatred of clutter, I keep them rather neat and tidy. I like to have workspace. My one downfall may be sticky notes. I am quite fond of them. And I can’t describe the wonderful feeling of accomplishment once I complete a sticky note reminder. Then I get to tear it down, crinkle it up, and throw it away!!! What Freedom!!!! :)
So here is desk #1:
This desk is in my craft room. It’s where I do my scrapbooking. This is the computer that I download all my pictures on and also where I keep the software for fonts and other creative lettering ideas. I do most of my emailing and blogging from this desk. It’s a fun room and it just so happens to be down the hall from the kids’ playroom. So it’s convenient to be in here while they are fighting playing.
It simply holds my monitor, keyboard, and photo printer. The magazine you see is the new Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbook Etc. and it’s one of the best scrappin’ mags I’ve seen in a while. Other than that, there are a few pens, CD’s for saving downloaded photos, and a gift certificate for the Memories Store I got for Christmas. Oh, and the blue Peeps? Savannah just brought those down this afternoon.
Here is desk #2:
I recently wrote about this desk here when I was asked to name 6 things around my computer. This desk is in our home office. From this computer I can log onto my desktop at work. This is also where I pay bills, do my menu planning, and write out recipes and grocery lists online using Allrecipes.
This workspace holds the basics as well. A monitor, printer, and phone. Behind the glass doors are the yellow pages, a dictionary, and several books, including growing houseplants, energizing employees, and things to do with kids in Atlanta. The bottom shelf holds my Bible and devotional, and that huge stack of papers are copies of the documentation we sent to the IRS this year. The top shelf is where the “Kiss my Bass” deco pillow proudly sits next to a couple small recipe books that are waiting to be added to my allrecipes site.
That about covers it except for the lone pale blue sticky note that is pasted above the monitor. And hopefully, that will be gone when I pay bills on Thursday! :)

Hello! I found you through Jenna G. We have the same desk (the second picture)! I got tagged this morning, so our pictures will be similar. Love your blog design!
That second desk is gorgeous! I see Lauren has the same one! I’m not envious–not at all! I’m a neat freak too–most of the time anyway! Well, not that YOU are a freak, I’m just saying that I am a neat freak! Thanks for posting–I can’t wait until we have wi fi so that we don’t have to share this one PC!
Beautiful desk, Jodi! I have a special fondness for neat freaks. :) I’m going to have to look for that scrapbook magazine–thanks for that tip!
Thanks for playing!
Beautiful desks, very neat, can I move in with you???
My desk is my lap or my coffee table. I am fancy like that.
