It’s been a while since I updated myself for the May Day Challenge, so I thought I would do that today. Remember my cute little food journal book and my QT megacup? Ummm…yeah…they would be in the kitchen somewhere. Can’t quite put my finger on ’em at this exact moment. But…
once I got my weight down beneath my magic number of 130, I just let all the discipline fly out the window. And I’m not always making the best food choices, but as long as I’m under the magic number, I tell myself that it’s okay.
But I really know it’s not.
So I am going to get back to eating fresher more quality foods (after I finish that bag of Doritos that’s sitting in the pantry). And I am going to drink more water. And get back on the treadmill. Because even though my weight is where I want it, believe me, underneath the clothes, this body is still not a pretty sight. It needs some toning and definition. And a boob job. But that is a whole ‘nother topic!
Anyways, one reason I am getting back on board with this today is that there are exactly 8 weeks until the 5k. Nope, I’ve never run one before. So I got some help from Hal Higdon and hopefully, if I can stick to his 8 week plan, I will be ready to run on Sept 15th.

Wishing you much success.
Best of luck to you (as I eat some Cheetos!) Really, I know what you’re saying. I’m in the same boat. The weight is fine, even the size is tolerable. But the condition, let’s not go there! But, for me, I know that when nursing completely stops in just a short time from now, keeping the weight off will be even harder!
Good luck and perserverance to you! I completely hear you on the body thing. I know the number on my scale says one thing but really I still don’t feel that weight! Thanks for being honest!
Good luck on your run! Yeah, toning is an important part of the weight loss thing. :-)
Good luck on the run! Its been too many years since I did that.
Although my current weight is okay, I know I am not exercising enough.
My weight loss “goal” is to not have a double chin when I forget to hold my head up high in photos!
Jodi- that is awesome! Training for the 5K- what a wonderful goal. What type of workouts do you do?
I love WATP and Hip Hop Abs (dancy type stuff!)
Oh, and 130 is my magic number too (well honestly 125 but you know how that goes).
3 more lbs to go and I’ll be there-then the real hard work begins- keeping it there!!!
