Savannah had a dental appointment earlier this week and since we had some time to kill, I stopped into Kohl’s to check out the clearance racks. She was in need of some jammies, so I looked and found a few marked down. I told her she could choose one.
In my opinion (not that it counts for much anymore!) she picked the ugliest nightgown. I mean really, the colors were soooo gaudy!!! But it had Ariel on it AND it came with a magic wand, so all my efforts to talk her into a different pair were pointless. Not only did she want them, but she thought they were the most beautiful pajamas EVER and she couldn’t wait to get home to put them on.
She has worn them for the past 2 nights (and most of each day), flitting around the house so the skirt flys behind her, and touching everything in sight with her wand. This morning she crawled into bed with me for some snuggle time. As we were laying there talking, she asks me, “Mommy, do you like my pretty nightgown now?”
“Yes I do. It’s very beautiful on you.”
“Uh-huh. I knew you would get used to it. Just like I did your hair.”

Your posts are hazardous to my computer. I was drinking sweet tea when I read the last line and I almost drenched my keyboard!
That is just so funny! You just never ever know what kids will say…

That’s funny! I’m sure she’ll have some haircuts you’ll have to get used to and you’ll remember her comment!
