Just further evidence for when I’m committed to the asylum:
Me: Do you know why I asked you to come in here and sit down?
Her: No.
Me: Can you guess?
Her: No.
Me: Okay, well it is occuring to me lately that you do not do what I ask you to do the first time I ask it. I have to ask you several times and even then, like today, you push the envelope.
Her: An envelope?
Me: Never mind. Let’s try to stay focused on what is important.
Her: I don’t have an envelope.
Me: It’s just a figure of speech.
Her: Like when you stand up in front of people?
Me: Not really.
Her: Why do you need an envelope?
Me: (grrrr…) No. Forget the envelope! What I’m trying to tell you is that I’m tired of asking so many times for you to do something. When your Daddy asks you something, you do it the first time. Is there some reason for that?
Her: Yes. He is much bigger than you.

Ok, I just tell you that I laughed out loud… I totally wish I had some words of wisdom, but girl I’m not there yet.
Hang in there — maybe “6” will be better. :)~
I’m sorry to say but we are at 9 and it’s not any easier. However, I hope you are getting a laugh out of it now, cause I sure am!! :)
Hee hee hee
Yep, that was funny! ;-)
That is HILARIOUS!
Gee….kinda reminds me of conversations I used to try to have with you! :)
Heavens to betsy, that’s amusing! My dd always takes things literally and it makes communication so much harder. *sigh* My opinion is that God uses moments like these to teach US rather than them, huh?
That is too funny, but I do feel your pain! Yeah, “6” is no better either. I go through this daily it seems like.
hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
TOO FUNNY!!!
I forgot how literal they take everything you say. How cute!
