Yes, that’s right. Not “Deck the Halls”, with an S. Just a hall. That’s all I got done today as far as the holiday decorations are concerned. But in my defense, I had 2 kids all day, one went to ballet (which took up 2 hours), did 5 loads of laundry (only folded 2!), mopped the kitchen floor, make homemade chicken & dumplings, baked a cake, AND initially had to rummage through tons of boxes in the attic just to FIND the garland that I did get put up.
Big, HUGE thanks going out to my sister who helped me get it attached to the railing. Last year I attempted to put this stuff on by myself and not only did it take me the better part of an ENTIRE day to get it finished, I vaguely remember there were moments of temper tantrums and tears…and my kids were NOT at home!!!
So I guess it’s official. I will be decorating for Christmas. Tomorrow I plan to get the stockings hung by the chimney with care. And hope that my son does not notice they are there!!! :)
