Well, my plans for last night to prepare my husband a nice, warm, savory home cooked meal in hopes that he would go to bed early, leaving me to catch up on blog reading while eating chocolate and drinking cola’s worked like a charm.
And then backfired!
Jeremy was snoozing on the couch before I even got Emery to bed. “YES”, I thought to myself as Savannah and I went down to the basement together. I put a video in for her and began downloading pictures from our trip to Pigeon Forge this past weekend. When that was finished I got caught up on email and about that time, it was time for Savannah to go to bed.
I took her upstairs anticipating a long hot shower, followed by uninterrupted computer time. But all of a sudden I looked up from shaving my legs to see hubby walk into the room. Hmmm…maybe he’s still half asleep. I won’t say anything. Then he gets out his Bible, sits on the edge of the tub, and starts reading.
“What are you doing?” I ask innocently.
“I fell asleep on the couch and now I’m not tired. So I thought I’d read for a while,” he responds.
Oh, Man!
So I still haven’t caught up with all your wonderful blogs out there. But I promise I will.
And for now, here is a recap of our weekend getaway with the best employees this side of the Mason Dixon line:
Very nice accomodations!
These are my complimentary shoes! Not that they were free…although at $6 they practically were. I got tons of compliments on them from strangers all over Pigeon Forge. So wierd.
My favorite thing (besides eating out) was horseback riding. This is obviously a picture of a picture, but ignore the fact that it’s cock-eyed. Isn’t that horse gorgeous???
There was a lot of go-cart racing going on. I rode in one for the first time ever. Yeah. I know. As in my whole life! I was so sheltered! (just kidding, mom!)
And here is the whole gang. What a great group of people we have working with us. It was truly a joy to take them on a weekend getaway as our way of saying “Thanks!” Hope we can do it again soon.

FUN! That cabin looks nice and I love the shoes. We went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge this summer with the kids.
I bet you had a much better time without kids!!!
Ooooh, I do like those shoes. I can hardly wait to get to Pigeon Forge–I just told my hubby that today. And concerning the blog–let the hubby take priority every time!
Great pics, looks like you had a great time!
God bless :)
