I just don’t know what to say about this past weekend. Awesome. Wonderful. Inspiring. Amazing…all come to mind. I called Jeremy Friday night to tell him how moved I was by Beth Moore’s teaching and couldn’t get past the lump in my throat. I kept welling up and could not get the words out. Not that I could have explained 6 hours of true Spirit filled Bible study in a 15 minute phone conversation, but I really wanted to share it with him.
My sister mapped out the entire weekend at her blog so if you are interested in all the going’s on you can just head over there for the details. (Thanks, Jess, you just made my life easier by posting all of that!)
I keep trying to narrow down the key points for myself in my head. I mean, there was SO MUCH good information shared through all the speakers. There would be no way to process all of it, so I’m trying to sift through it and decide what I’m taking with me TODAY to make changes in my life TODAY.
One thing I noticed was how one speaker in particular spoke of her husband. They had 30 years together before she lost him to cancer and oh, what fun it sounded like they had. It made me think, “how much fun am I to live with?” I’ve vowed to lighten up a little and have fun with Jeremy. It’s easy to have fun with the kids. They are just silly little preschoolers. But I tend to be more serious with Jeremy. Poor fella.
And speaking of Jeremy, he racked up about 1200 nooky points while I was gone this weekend. At least according to HIS calculations it was twelve hundred! Not only did he have the kids all weekend without calling me (not even once!), but when I got home the house was still clean, laundry had been done, and he had taken the kids out to dinner so I had a couple hours to myself to just chill out before getting back into Mommy-Mode.
The whole entire weekend was more than I could have imagined! Glory, Glory!!! :)

Holy cow, I cannot believe you got to hear Beth Moore speak in person! My bible study group is doing one of her books right now. Good stuff. I really like her. Sounds like a fantastic weekend! I’m going to have to check into her speaking schedule…hmm…
God bless :)
I love it when others find refreshment! I am thrilled you got that opportunity…I pray it will completely overflow to your hubby and children!
I’ve seen so many people writing about Beth Moore on their blogs recently. I’m going to have to find out more about her!
How wonderful that you were able to enjoy your time away while your hubby watched the kids and kept the house clean. Wow!
So glad you had such a great time. I’m heading over to your sisters blog now to read the specifics. I just love the WOF conferences!!!
Sounds like an awesome weekend – all the way around. Good for Jeremy! It sure does make it easier to have a little fun with the husband when he has done so well in your absence:)
It sounds like you are still on the mountain! What a blessing to come home to a clean house, that was just one more kiss from the Lord wasn’t it!
How cool! So glad you had a great time, I wish I could have gone too.
