Okay, I finally finished uploading the photos from our trip. If you are interested, the entire set can be found here.
Some things I think are worth mentioning:
Check out this scenery. I was not expecting this kind of beauty down there. It felt like I was looking at a painting.
On the way to many of the churches we visited, we found families such as these. Sometimes we’d throw candy out the window to anxiously waiting children. Other times, like this one, we’d stop and drop off food bags and/or shoes. One small food bag would feed a family for 3 weeks. Another shocker? One egg, feeds 4.
This is where we stayed each night. It was very nice. All the rooms opened into an outdoor courtyard where we would stay up each evening playing cards, kicking a soccer ball around, or singing songs. The weather really cooled off when the sun went down, so this was a perfect way to end the day.
This is just 2 of the adorable faces I saw all last week. Aren’t they precious? The little girl in this picture would not stop talking to me. I made the mistake of saying just a handful of the Spanish words I knew when I first met her. After that I guess she thought I was fluent in her native tongue. Oops!
At several churches our group performed the “Everything” skit. If you’ve never seen it before, I recommend watching it. By the end of the week, Paige was banged up pretty good after being thrown around the stage. But it had such a huge impact on the people there, how could we not do it???
Everywhere we went, the kids loved to play with us. In some remote areas, like the one above, the boys had never held a bat before. The guys in our group enjoyed teaching them how to pitch and hit. We also handed out frisbees at this location and the kids didn’t know what they were. They started fanning themselves with them! LOL! So we held frisbee lessons there too!
I really don’t know where to stop showing pictures. There is a story behind each and every one so I’ll just finish up with this one. I don’t even know these 3 amigos. We didn’t even go into this church. I just like this picture. And it sort of sums up what going to Honduras was all about.

Wow, you got some amazing pictures! And TONS of them!! I feel like I’ve been there myself now!
I especially love the young boy sitting within those amazing flowers, looking out over the green grass.
Awesome.
I’m guessing the older lady in red floral is Ms. Joan (was it?) ?

Just looked through your pics from Honduras! Amazing. I love the one of you and Jeremy by the roadside; the clouds and landscape behind you guys is absolutely beautiful! Everything looked so green! And those sweet children were beautiful! How could you keep from bringing one home with you?
Hope it was a blessed time, and I agree with Nanny. You may be realizing ways God did speak to you for months to come!
My hubby Mike is going to Jamaica in July with our church. I would love to go with him, but our parents are so far away (16 hours) and my mom works, so there is really no one to leave the kiddos with. Pray for him in July.
I went on a mission trip to an orphanage in Southern Mexico last June and seeing your pictures made me tear up thinking
about all the kids I had to say goodbye to. It was such a blessing to be able to meet them all in person and I’m sure you are
feeling the same. You post all the pictures you want! I have over 800 pictures in scrapbooks from the trips and everyone of them holds a
precious story for me. Thanks for sharing your stories!
Great pics, Jodi! It’s hard to explain a trip like that but you did a good job!
Looking at your pictures made me want to go back. I knew you would comment on the kids singing. It’s unreal, isn’t it? Glad you’re home!
