If you thought I had disappeared due to the tremendous amount of packing and unpacking I’ve been doing, you’d only be partially right. I also had a bit of fun stuff going on this week too. Jeremy won Braves tickets a few weeks ago at a charity golf tournament, and Thursday night was the game. It rained for more than half of the innings but we didn’t care. We sat out there doing the tomahawk chop, eating soggy nachos, and having a great time!
Friday I left for a mini scrapbook retreat. When I first began clearing out my craft room in the basement I realized I had a bunch of pictures that I needed to sort through. So I took them for the sake of organization along with a few albums to work on. I was only away for 1 night, but I can get so much done with more than 24 hours of no interruptions.
Today we had church all morning which goes into the afternoon by the time we have lunch and get back home. Jeremy planned to play golf and I was asked to join some friends who were going shopping. I can’t tell you the last time I went to a mall and just shopped. It’s been at least a year…or two!
This weekend was tax free in Georgia and there were sales everywhere!!! I got the kids a ton of clothes for next summer and some nice shoes for dirt cheap. I even found myself a few things.
This week holds more excitement as Jeremy and I have taken on a new business venture, and at some point I need to decide when I will begin homeschooling. I also have a cool new Bible study/scrapbook project I am starting. It’s called This is My Story by Lisa Welchel. She uses her own scrapbook of faith as well as stories and verses in the bible to trigger our memories and help us to leave a legacy of faith to our familes. It’s a 6 week study, and by the end I am supposed to have a completed scrapbook! Woo-hoo!!!
And of course there are more things I’ve been asked to do but have not made commitments as of yet. Taking on additional Crown counselees and possibly facilitating a class at church. Oh, and speaking of church. My Sunday school teachers’ wife asked me if I would help her teach ninth grade girls. NINTH GRADE GIRLS??? Oh my…that is so far out of my realm I couldn’t believe she even approached me. When I asked her why, she said the Lord put me on her heart. Hello, are we worshiping the same person???
LOL! I am only kidding! I will really need to pray about these things. I feel like everything is hitting me at once and I’m trying to keep my head above water. Obviously I can’t do it all, but I hate to say no. Time to really get on my knees and seek some Divine direction. And hopefully He will allow me to continue blogging. ‘Cuz it sure helps with my sanity! :)

Hey, guess what I am going to be doing starting Sept 3? Teaching 9th grade religious school! I will have girls and boys, though, but…
if you decide to take on that task, it would be fun to swap stories! (And maybe even lesson plans?) I have to say that 9th grade is an
AWESOME age to teach, my personal favorite….they still want you to hold their hands a little and haven’t developed the attitude that comes
with the older teenagers (for the MOST part!)

God just told me that you can keep blogging. JK! Sounds like you had a great weekend. We were struck with the stomach virus here! Gotta love that:)
Ahhhh, the sound of fall busyness!! It would be fun to have you in the youth if that’s where God leads you!!
