Sometimes you can’t just wait around on Mother Nature. Every once in a while, ya gotta take matters into your own hands.
The past 2 days we’ve had temps in the 30’s. Today it’s rainy. The heart of this midwestern girl can’t help but think of the possibility of snow. C’mon…just a few flurries? Is that really asking too much?
With high hopes, I jumped online and checked the weekend forecast. But to my dismay, tomorrow we will back in the 60’s. I searched my archives to find out when we got snow last year and it happened to be in January.
That’s not saying much though. I can remember snow sticking on the spring flowers more than once since I moved to Georgia. But instead of wishing my winter away, Savannah and I decided to make our own snowflakes.
These won’t melt OR cause a mad dash to the grocery store to stock up on bread and canned goods. I know you Northern folks think I’m joking. Uhhhh…no. I wish I were.
What’s the matter? Never seen colorful snow before? Beautiful, isn’t it? Snow like this is reserved for families with budding artists. Or dogs maybe.

A “craft project”! I’m so proud of you.
Love it! We are planning on making some of our own.
Much love,

I wish it would snow!! I would be happy if the high wasn’t in the 60s! Thanks for the cute idea… my family might come home to snowflakes all over the house:)
