When I heard of this weeks photo challenge and I knew we would be at my parents house for Easter, I immediately thought of the fence in front of their house.
I wish they still had the old fence up. The one that was there when they bought the place. Now IT was rustic. But eventually it needed to be replaced, and a few years ago, they put this one up.
As I was taking the shot I wondered what a wide angle lense would do to the picture. I don’t know much about those, but I’d like to.
I’m happy with the way I captured their fence. I wasn’t able to use automatic focus because my Rebel couldn’t decide what the focal point was. It kept trying to blur the fence and make the vines crystal clear.
All in all, I enjoyed the challenge this week. If you’d like to view more rustic pictures, click here.

What a great fence. Are there any old pictures of the original? It would be fun to compare them.

I wish we still had that old fence, too. We couldn’t find the same kind of rails. THAT was a great fence!

What a beautiful photo and fantastic perspective. I love how fragile it looks, yet how sturdy it must be. Great capture!
