Lately, Emery has been going to the house to work with his Daddy. He helps measure floors to calculate square footage, carries supplies to and from the truck, and runs errands to Lowe’s where he apparently helped pick out our light fixtures.
The night before a work day he gets SO excited. He asks me to help him pick out his clothes for the morning and then sets his alarm all by himself. He knows the Mexicans by name, eats their homemade “job site” tortillas, and I think he’s picked up a good bit of Spanish.
I figure I can count these days on the homeschool attendance form. Am I right?
In order to make Emery an official construction worker, Jeremy got him a set of tools and together they built a tool box to put them in. Savannah helped too.
Now that he has his own tool box with his own tape measure, there’s no end to what’s being calculated around here!

What good memories he is making working with his daddy…PRICELESS!
He’d better just keep that tape measure away from my thighs!
