As Jeremy and I made our way to Florida the other day I told him that on our first night out after moving I wanted to go back to Islamorada Fish Company. We ate dinner there back in 2001 when my brother-in-laws family had bought everyone a cruise for Christmas and we had traveled to Ft Lauderdale the day before departure. I remember thinking it was a cool place with yummy food and guess what? I was right!
We went there Friday night and loved it! It’s attached to a Bass Pro Shop, so not only is there great food, but there is shopping too! And here’s a little something else that we didn’t get to see last time were here since it was in December….
These iguanas were walking around the deck where people were eating. We could watch them jump into the water and swim over to sun themselves on the rocks. I truly have never seen iguanas this large, number 1, and number 2, I’ve only ever seen them behind enclosed glass in the zoos! After getting over the initial shock of seeing what looks like miniature dinosaurs wandering all over, we spent a long time enjoying the view of them and seeing what they would do next.
