Yay!!! Park Day!!! We went to Park Day with our new homeschool group last month and had a great time meeting new friends and playing. The kids were totally stoked about this month’s Park Day and had been looking forward to it all week.
The weather here in Florida took a dip into the 60’s, but stayed relatively sunny until today. A light mist fell, but with the high at 69 degrees, I figured we were still good to go. I mean, for me to keep my kids at home when there is an opportunity to get out of the house, the weather needs to be severe. As in, warnings flashing along the bottom of my TV screen severe.
The picture you see above is a group shot of all the kids whose mom’s decided to brave the temps and moisture to get their children out of their hair house as well.
So… did I miss something? Wrong day? Was it cancelled? Change location? No. No. And no. I am thinking that maybe the locals do not head outdoors once temperatures drop below 70. Or maybe they try to keep their children well by not allowing them to play in the rain on a cool, cloudy day. Or quite possibly, they didn’t need a break from their kids as much as I did. Although, I kinda doubt that!
