We decided not to go home for Thanksgiving since we will be in Georgia for quite a while during the Christmas holidays. One night I was thinking about all the food I needed to buy to prepare a traditional southern Thanksgiving feast. And then I thought about all the work it would take and the finicky eaters I have raised who take one drumstick, 2 green beans, and a teaspoon of mashed potatoes and declare, “I’M SOOOO FULL!”
Then I hesitantly leaned over to my husband and asked, “What would you say if I told you I was considering buying our Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel?”
He replied, “I’d ask what time you need me to pick it up.”
And that’s why I love him.
The day after Thanksgiving we all headed over to Ft Myers to help Jeremy finish up some houses. While we were there we stopped in at the local Bass Pro Shop. Our family has a slight affinity for BP and the creative ways their stores incorporate the outdoors in. It has become our life goal to visit each and every store in the US. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a fish tank like this is in our next house???
