Monday~ I opened my inbox and found that mom had sent me an email. In the subject line she had written “truth”. Then she copied this quote: “In EVERY circumstance we should praise the Lord. To grumble about our circumstances is to express dissatisfaction with His arrangement of our lives. This is really questioning the wisdom and love of God for us.”
Tuesday~ I started reading a little gem of a book called The Red Sea Rules. I cracked the book to page one and in bold letters it says “Realize that God means for you to be where you are”.
Wednesday~ Another email. This time from my grandma’s sister. I scroll down and read “the will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you”.
Okay, so I got the message loud and clear. Thank you. The only thing that worries me? Were these confirmations of where I am now, or is something really terrible about to happen to me??? :)

How wonderful to have family members to encourage you in the ways of God.
Kate
Let me give you another verse: Matthew 6:34 – “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry aout itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Having said that, I had to laugh…because I have thought that many times! (Uh-oh. Why am I getting stronger? What am I going to have to face?)
These things happen to me also, especially if I have been praying about something. It’s great when God talks to us that way, isn’t it??
Funny, Jo Beth (Nanny), the same verse in Matthew came to my mind when I was reading! You just beat me to posting it:) Seriously, I am so impressed with the way Jodi handles all that comes her way. She is a very strong lady and I love her ability to praise even through the storm.
This whole scenario of growing and worrying is exactly why I love the song “Bring the Rain” by MercyMe, even if I can’t always sing it truthfully.
Thank you for sharing your family’s encouragement with us. Just as you felt when you got those emails, so we feel when we read your blog!
I hope you guys have a great time at Disney. Did you figure out Emery’s potty training issue or will it complicate the trip? Hope all is well.
Visiting from Shrinking jeans. I think it just puts a positive spin on things in your life, you will get though them with god, big or little.
The book gets better and better. :) But I felt the SAME way when I first started reading it. :)
