Today was our annual trip to the strawberry picking place. What a beautiful day. And to add to the excitement, this was the first year Daddy was able to go along with us.
We stopped at Bojangles and had a few mouth watering biscuits before meeting my parents at the farm. Emery got lessons in berry picking on the way over there. “This is red. Only pick red berries. No white berries. No green berries. No flowers. Only red berries. No eat the berries!”
When we were finished, Jeremy headed to work and I headed to my mom and dad’s for the annual “clean ’em, cut ’em, sugar ’em, freeze ’em” assembly line. Savannah decided she was big enough to help with that this year. She was given the job of cleaning the berries. Before too long, Nanny and I looked out the window and saw this:
Those twelve whole berries she cleaned (minus the ones she ate) must have really worn her out!

What a fun day. I had a great time!
Oh, How I love strawberries–and picking them There is no place to pick around here. Your daughter seems to be very smart–a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do! Relax!
You “picked” the perfect time to go. The guy at 3 Peas says strawberries are going up next week! Glad you had such a good time.
So glad Jeremy could join you! What a nice family day! We’re supposed to go one day this week!
That is a great post…sounds like a great day…and the last comment and picture about your daughter were adorable and funny. She
obviously knows how to relax!
