I wrote last week about a book I was reading that had me smiling. This is it:
What a GREAT read! I am blaming author Kristin Billerbeck for how completely tired I have been for the past few days. At night I just couldn’t put this book down. I loved every bit of it! Main character, Ashley Stockingdale, is so entertaining. I wish I knew her in real life!
Besides the drama of Ashley’s wedding plans we also have the suspicious history of her roommate, the sudden reappearance of her ex-boyfriend, and future in-laws that would make anyone hesitate to say “I do”.
And the best part about this Christian heroine is that she is not “holier than thou” in any way. She is constantly battling the thoughts in her mind, especially in regards to her in-laws and trying find God in the midst of job changes, marriage, and possible relocation. She is so believable. And so likeable!
And it was also nice to read a romance novel that didn’t feel it had to describe some kind of sex scene every other chapter. It’s clean and funny and is a book I highly recommend. As a matter of fact, this is the 3rd book in an Ashley Stockingdale series, and I will definitely be getting the other 2 as soon as possible to catch myself up with all the details. Can’t wait!!!

I want to read it now.
I just got a Francine Rivers book called Redeeming Love. I have heard it is good. I usually do not read much fiction but lately here I have been interested in it some.
Much love,
