Before you read any further you must know that food and nutrition is something we talk about around here ALL THE TIME. I have one picky eater and one that eats everything in sight…whether it’s food or not! We talk about eating a variety of fruits and vegtables, not just peanut butter and chicken nuggets. We talk about how different foods do different things to our bodies, why it’s not a good idea to eat Smarties for breakfast, and which kinds of food give us energy and help us think better.
So with that in mind, here is a recent conversation that took place cuddled under my covers early one Saturday morning:
Savannah: “Mom, do eggs have protein?”
Me: “Yes, they do.”
Savannah: “Are there eggs in cake?”
Me: “Yes there are.”
Savannah: “I need to eat more cake.”

As I’m changing Emery’s diaper:
Me: “Hey, Dude, hand me that diaper.”
Emery: “I not Dude. I BOY!”
————————————————————————————–
I was having lunch with some family and telling them I had a doctors appointment coming up. Savannah pipes up and asks, “Dr. Pepper?”
